		<description>Yes, BillT is on the money here. Secular does not mean pro-west in Turkey; in fact, you might be hard pressed to find many pro-westerners among Turkey&#039;s secular movement. I&#039;m sure the U.S. in perticular is too religious for their tastes.

What is important, as BillT points out in his recent blog, is that whether pro-west or secular, we are both AGAINST the horrors of jihad and terrorism - and may this viewpoint be the one that prevails.
